The Great Ife Alumni Hall of Distinction is an International Hall of Fame and a directory of recipients of the Distinguished Alumni Award for Excellence. It excludes recipients of any awards given by local chapters or branches of the Alumni Organization.

Members of the Alumni Hall of Distinction are permanently recognized as outstanding achievers whose body of work and unique accomplishments help to inspire current undergraduates and living alumni.

The achievements of inductees also serves as story lines for promoting the University image, as it strives to make and maintain top global university rankings.

Induction into the Alumni Hall of Distinction requires excellence at an unparalleled level in one of four categories – The Arts, The Sciences, Entrepreneurship, and Management/Public Administration.
