A renowned Historian and one-time Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, he was also one-time Professor of History and Director of the Institute of African Studies at the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University). He is author of many books, including a 2010 Book “A History of the Yoruba People”.
